Influence of the Substrate/Photoactive Solution Interaction in Patterning and Adhesion of Photodeposited Films

چکیده
Using the photochemical deposition of chromium hydroxide layers driven by a continuous Ar laser wave in a potassium chromate solution, we explored the adhesion and patterning properties of the induced deposit on glass substrates versus the composition and the pH of the photoactive solution. The experiments were performed with two interfering beams imprinting an optical pattern on the substrate and analyzing the resulting morphology of the deposit. The solubility, patterning and adhesion are investigated using both organic (acetic acid) and inorganic ( ) acids. The observed adhesion as a function of the HCl pH in the photodeposition process (surface versus bulk) was compared for several substrates. 1 ha l-0 00 95 27 1, v er si on 1 15 M ay 2 00 9 Author manuscript, published in "Applied Surface Science vol. 248, 1-4 (2005) 479-483" DOI : 10.1016/j.apsusc.2005.03.068 Ms# L-4053 Revised Version 4-ICPEPA, Lecce Italy 5-9 September 2004 PACS Numbers: 81.15.Fg, 81.10.Dn, 42.40.Eq, 42.70.Gi

Influence of N2- and Ar-ambient annealing on the physical properties of SnO2: Co transparent conducting films prepared by spray pyrolysis technique
In this contribution, the Co doped SnO2 transparent semi-conducting films are prepared by spray pyrolysis technique and the influence of N2-and Ar-ambient annealing on their structural, electrical and optical properties are studied. The SnO2:Co thin films were deposited on the glass substrate at substrate temperature of 480 ˚C using an aqueous-ethanol solution consisting of tin and cobalt chlor...
متن کاملStudy of PLA Printability with Flexography Ink: Comparison with Common Packaging Polymer
Today, the economic consumption of biodegradable polymers is of capital importance in many applications. One of the most commonly used biopolymers is polylactic acid (PLA). The printability of the biodegradable film has not been fully investigated. This work tested the printability of polylactic acid (PLA) films and compared the print qualities to common packaging films like low density pol...
متن کاملResistance Properties of Printed Polyolefin Films using Water-Based Inks
During recent decades due to the increase in pollutants release from various industries, reduction or elimination of volatile organic compounds VOCs has become one of the main purposes of researches in order to protect the environment. In this research, two acrylic emulsion resins and an adhesion promoter polyester emulsion resin were used to optimize water-based printing ink formulation for pr...
متن کاملOPTICAL PROPERTIES OF THIN Cu FILMS AS A FUNCTION OF SUBSTRATE TEMPERATURE
Copper films (250 nm) deposited on glass substrates, at different substrate temperatures. Their optical properties were measured by ellipsometery (single wavelength of 589.3 nm) and spectrophotometery in the spectral range of 200–2600 nm. Kramers Kronig method was used for the analysis of the reflectivity curves of Cu films to obtain the optical constants of the films, while ellipsometery measu...
متن کاملCOMPARISON OF PROPERTIES OF TiN/TiCN AND PLASMA NITRIDING/TiCN FILMS DEPOSITED ON THE TOOL STEEL BY PULSED DC- PACVD
In this work, TiN/TiCN & PN/TiCN multilayer films were deposited by plasma- assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD). Plasma nitriding (PN) and TiN intermediate layer prior to coating leads to appropriate hardness gradient and it can greatly improve the mechanical properties of the coating. The composition, crystalline structure and phase of the films were investigated by X-ray d...
